  • Pediatric Neuropsychology

    What is a neuropsychological evaluation?

    An assessment involving pencil-paper, tablet, and puzzle type activities to assess an individual’s pattern of functioning across cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and adaptive domains.

    The goals are to provide diagnostic clarification, inform treatment and/or education planning, and give specific recommendations across all settings.

    What is the neuropsychological evaluation process?

    Completion of a background questionnaire.

    One full day of testing (approximately 8 hours) including an hour lunch break.

    Preliminary feedback and initial recommendations the same day of the assessment.

    Complete feedback appointment 1 week following testing via telehealth or in person.

    Complete written report of relevant background, results, and recommendations with 72 hours of feedback.

    Why does Dr. Eisenlohr complete all testing in one day?

    Dr. Eisenlohr is highly trained and experienced in the fast paced and demanding hospital setting requiring excellent test knowledge, quick relationship building, efficient test selection, and a fundamental belief in the ethics of not overtesting.

    Dr. Eisenlohr appreciates seeing the individual over the course of time to understand the waxing and waning of skills and attention in order to provide more specific and generalizable recommendations (e.g., some children have better or worse attention after lunch which may impact recommendations).

  • Concussion Clinic

    What is a concussion evaluation?

    An interview and assessment that will examine current concussion related symptoms to clarify diagnoses, determine where one is in the concussion recovery process, and to inform rehabilitation and recovery programming.

    What is the concussion evaluation process?

    Completion of background questionnaire.

    One day of interview and testing (approximately 3 hours) with breaks, lighting adjustment as necessary.

    Feedback and initial rehabilitation plan the same day of the assessment.

    Complete written report within 24 hours of appointment.

    Follow-up phone call check-in one week after appointment to determine progress and next steps.

    Dr. Eisenlohr treats and evaluates individuals (ages 2 - adulthood/geriatric) who have experienced a concussion or traumatic brain injury. She supports the recovery process with the goal of returning individuals to functioning and performing across all domains of their lives as efficiently as possible.

    Post-Concussion Evaluations

    We provide post-concussion evaluation, short-term treatment, and recommendations related to return-to-play/sport and return-to-learn. We also provide evaluation and recommendations related to individuals managing post-concussional syndrome. The goal is to return the individual to functioning as quickly and efficiently as possible.

    Services include:

    Post-injury evaluation

    Brief intervention

    Brief cognitive rehabilitation

    Traumatic brain injury and concussion specific neuropsychological evaluation

    Return-to-Performance plans (Return-to-Play, Return-to-Learn)

    Education Planning Meeting Attendance (e.g., 504 Plans, temporary educational support plans)

    What is the purpose of an Independent Medical Evaluations (IME)?

    Dr. Eisenlohr conducts IME’s as a neutral third party to assess whether an individual is eligible for compensation.

    An individual or family’s attorney or an organization/school will typically reach out to Dr. Eisenlohr.

  • Sports Performance Clinic

    Dr. Eisenlohr works with elite athletes (e.g., high school, collegiate, Olympic, professional) and competitive teams to maximize performance through tailored interventions specific to athlete and team needs and goals. She builds upon existing strengths to scaffold weaknesses and optimize performance within the context of life stress, high expectations, and challenging decision making.

    Services within each package will be tailored to every program in order to meet specific goals and needs.
    Pricing will be determined based on final service selection.

    Team Performance Package

    We work directly with coaching staff, trainers, and administrators to identify, strategize, and support implementation of programmatic changes to enhance team functioning.

    Services include:

    Coach consultation related to team program planning and athlete mental/emotional periodization

    Development of team values teaching coaching/training staff specific implementation techniques and value-based language/intervention

    Coach consultation and training related to unexpected issues on team including injury/return from injury, player crisis, and player transitions

    Coach consultation related to implementing sport psychology techniques including emotion regulation, attention/focus, and mindfulness strategiesAthlete Performance Package

    We work with coaching staff to identify specific athletes who will benefit from individual intervention to:

    Determine mental readiness/fitness for competition/play

    Enhance performance through sport psychology techniques

    Manage yips

    Manage injury recovery, return, burnout, and/or retirement

    Identify emotional or mental barriers to performance

    Identify other psychological or social-emotional problems that may be interfering with functioning

    Balance athletics with outside life stressors or crisis

    Prepare for major transitions or decision making including next steps, retirement, or career change

    Leadership and team management training for emerging team leaders and/or captains

    Services include:

    Coach consultation

    Athlete interview to identify problem areas, realistic goals, and plan

    Individual athlete appointments to learn tailored cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and coping strategies

    Provide recommendations to coaching staff to support athlete as necessary

    *** Information shared by athlete within the appointment remains confidential unless the information is related to the individual's safety (e.g., concerns for suicide, homicide) or athlete consents to share information with coaching staff or others.

    Hybrid Athlete & Team Package

    We work with coaching staff to create a package that involves services from both the Team Performance and Athlete Performance packages. Additional services include:

    Group-based meetings and interventions with the team

    Implementing value systems, team-based coping strategies, culture changes, leadership, and other team interventions with the team in a group setting

    Assisting with conflict management in a group setting

    Presentations to parents, faculty, or other team supporters on specific educational topics related to sports neuropsychology and psychology
